Our client, an established public accounting firm with 50+ years in business, is seeking a Tax Associate to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals. You will also provide tax research, communicate directly with clients, and offer exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic public accounting environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals.
Conduct tax research and maintain an understanding of IRS tax laws and regulations.
Communicate directly with clients to address their tax-related inquiries and concerns.
Provide high-quality customer service to a diverse range of clients.
Take ownership of work and ensure timely completion of tasks while meeting budget deadlines.
Collaborate with team members and offer assistance as needed.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to continuous learning and development in the field of taxation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2 years’ prior tax experience
Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA license (or in the process of obtaining)
Experience with ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess Tax, and QuickBooks
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and dependability
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000*
