Our nationally recognized Real Estate client, experiencing significant growth, seeks to add a Staff or Senior Accountant to their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Process accounts receivable accurately, managing incoming payments, tracking them in the accounting system, and updating relevant information.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
  • Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, borrower accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
  • Provide assistance to external auditors, gathering necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.
  • Perform loan servicing tasks, including borrower invoicing, populating borrower payments into loan servicing templates, booking servicing transactions to accounting software, and updating investor reports.
  • Prepare custom reports, such as monthly financials, reporting available fund cash, originations analysis reports, reimbursement expenses, advancements to REOs, and other miscellaneous reports.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Assist with various projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of prior full cycle accounting experience, including A/R and A/P
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Prior real estate or finance experience
  • Proficient in NetSuite
  • A general understanding of interest rates and floating rates
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $75,000 – $120,000* 

*The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future.
