An industry leader is seeking a career-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join their growing accounting department. As the Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing construction draws, coding invoices, tracking contracts, conducting variance analysis, and supporting month-end financial reporting. The successful candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at handling multiple projects at once. This opportunity offers a flexible work schedule, if preferred – 3 days remote/2 days in-office.

Responsibilities:
- Submit construction draws, prepare year-to-date budget files, and conduct variance analysis for multiple projects. Provide required documentation, contracts, and lien waivers for Independent Engineer reviews.
- Address inquiries from Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Project Managers regarding construction draws and assist with completion forecasts.
- Generate month-end reports for construction and development projects.
- Maintain contract logs, input contracts in Purchasing and Project Accounting modules within Great Plains Accounting Software.
- Manage intercompany journal entries, track cash movements for book transfers, and facilitate wire requests.
- Assist corporate accountants with accruals and audits.
- Collaborate with Development and Construction Managers by providing payment status updates, generating reports, and participating in team meetings to address project-related inquiries.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of combined experience in construction project accounting and renewable energy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with financial accounting systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resourceful and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
