Join our dynamic financial services client in Los Angeles, CA! We’re searching for a Senior Collector to immediately contribute to our client’s fast-growing organization. This is a direct hire opportunity with an exceptional benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze account status, asset value, and customer financials to determine the best resolution strategy.
  • Independently evaluate and execute account resolutions, including repossession, settlement, or payment plans.
  • Communicate with customers to address defaults, explore resolution options, and issue formal notices.
  • Assign and track repossession efforts, ensuring timely asset recovery.
  • Conduct skip tracing, GPS tracking, and collection activities as needed.
  • Coordinate with repair shops, storage facilities, and impound lots to facilitate asset release.
  • Assess repair/storage costs against asset value to determine the most cost-effective action.
  • Collaborate with the remarketing team for efficient asset transportation and disposition.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates in Salesforce, ensuring thorough documentation of all actions.
  • Negotiate settlements, payoffs, and third-party sales when applicable.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

For background check purposes, material duties of this position include analyzing default accounts, communicating with customers, coordinating repossession efforts, conducting skip tracing and investigations, negotiating financial resolutions, working with vendors to recover assets, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of prior experience in collections.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in commercial collections within asset-based lending, financial services or auto-finance industries. 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to handle escalated situations
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Tech-savvy and able to pick up new systems quickly
Salary Range: $58,240 – $72,800; (paid hourly, overtime available)*
