We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our client in Orange County, CA. This role will be responsible for processing union payroll for the company’s field employees, ensuring compliance with certified payroll requirements, and managing payroll submissions to regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will have construction industry experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with additional payroll team members.
Responsibilities:
Process union payroll for field employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Handle manual payroll entry from Excel spreadsheets into Sage 300 accounting software.
Ensure compliance with certified payroll requirements and submit reports to DIR and LCP Tracker.
Work with union agreements for carpenters, laborers, and cement finishers, ensuring proper wage and benefit calculations.
Collaborate with other payroll team members to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and respond to employee inquiries regarding pay.
Stay updated on state and federal payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
