Our client is a renowned PR firm specializing in media relations for government and regulatory sectors. With a dedicated team and a commitment to excellence, they provide strategic communication solutions for their clients. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic individual to join the firm as an Accounting & HR Manager.

The Accounting & HR Manager will play a pivotal role in managing accounting operations and providing light HR support. This individual will work closely with the current incumbent and help contribute to the firm’s continued success.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Coordinate with external CPA for financial audits and tax filings.
  • Provide backup HR support, handling inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and onboarding.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in streamlining manual processes and implementing automation solutions.
  • Utilize software systems including Quicken, Microsoft Suite, Spring Ahead (time/attendance billing software), and ADP.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years’ experience in accounting operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Quicken and ADP.
  • Proven experience in a small to mid-sized business environment.
  • CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000*
