We’re seeking a Leasing Associate to join our established San Diego real estate client. In this role, you will support the full leasing process from initial marketing to executed agreements. It requires direct interaction with property managers, brokers, and senior leadership to ensure vacant spaces are effectively marketed and leased while driving tenant satisfaction and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft proposals and Letters of Intent (LOIs) for new and renewal tenants for review by the VP of Leasing
  • Partner with legal counsel to prepare and negotiate leases, amendments, and subleases
  • Review tenant financials and business plans to assess viability and prepare recommendations for senior management
  • Ensure all executed lease packages are transitioned to property management for tenant onboarding
  • Create marketing materials, property listings, and brochures for vacant spaces
  • Track and update leasing activity reports; attend weekly internal review meetings and bi-weekly calls with third-party brokers to monitor performance
  • Conduct property and suite walkthroughs to assess readiness and marketability
  • Prepare financial analyses, including net effective rent and NPV, to support leasing strategies and recommendations
  • Track lease expirations and assist with tenant retention and renewal strategies
  • Coordinate with property and construction managers to scope and price landlord work and tenant improvements
  • Research and monitor market trends, rental rates, and competitor activity to guide leasing strategy
  • Represent the company at industry events and maintain strong relationships with brokerage professionals
  • Collaborate across teams to support lease commencement activities, contingencies, and project coordination

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of commercial leasing, brokerage, or related real estate experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active California Real Estate Salesperson’s License
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CoStar

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related field
  • Experience working with both retail and industrial real estate assets
  • Proficient in Yardi
  • Strong understanding of lease proposals, lease structures, and basic financial analysis
  • Strong track record of managing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000* 

*The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future.
