Awesome opportunity to get your foot in the door with a very well known San Diego company!!  This is a 6-8 week assignment.


 


Job Responsibilities: 




  • Promotes sound business decisions by consulting with the Director of Finance and staff members on projects, programs and expenditures to ensure financial implications are fully understood and accurately presented.


  • Achieves system’s business objectives by executing various action programs as assigned by the strategic and long-range planning process.


  • Organizes and allocates department resources to achieve system objectives.


  • Ensures integrity and accuracy of all financial reporting systems by establishing financial controls and reviewing financial records and results.


  • Protects and preserves company’s assets by ensuring adequate control systems are in place and observed.


  • Maintains strong financial planning and control systems by coordinating the annual budget and LRP process, providing and interpreting financial reports, developing exception reports and assisting system management in presenting financial plans to corporate management and staff.


  • Works closely with the Directors of all services to achieve business results.


  • Enhances operational performance by directing changes to the Total Rewards Program to support business needs.


  • Directs and leads the financial support staff by hiring, motivating, coaching, evaluating, and rewarding employees involved with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting and Analysis. 

Requirements: 




  • B.Sc., Business Administration, Economics or Finance or B.A. with CPA/CMA; MBA desirable..


  • 3 years Budget, Cost Accounting or Financial Planning.


  • 2+ years as Financial Analyst in a medium-sized cable or telephone company ($40mm-$125mm sales).


  • Strong analytical skills.


  • Excellent communication skills.


  • Strong financial planning and budgeting background.


  • Internal control and audit competency.


  • Thorough understanding of G.A.A.P.


  • Strong managerial skills and background with the ability to motivate and inspire breakthrough performance.


  • Operations background a major plus.


  • Capacity for strategic thinking and business development.


  • Ability to orally communicate and comprehend spoken detailed or important information and instruction.


  • Ability to occasionally exert up to 20 lbs. force in order to move objects.
