Our client, a top 100 public accounting and consulting firm, is actively in search of an Audit Manager. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of an audit or review engagement on multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery throughout the engagement process.

This is a hybrid remote position, in which you will be required to go in-office on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all phases of an audit or review engagement on multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the year, possessing a thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of the client’s business and control systems; build and maintain good client relationships.
  • Appraise the engagement Director or Partner of all important developments on the client account; identify potential issues on each engagement and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure engagements are properly scheduled.
  • Create, track, and adhere to budgets for assigned Assurance and Advisory engagements; investigate and explain budget overruns to the Director or Partner and actively look for change order opportunities.
  • Review financial statements and other client deliverables.
  • Direct, train, supervise, and review the work performed by senior accountants and staff accountants.
  • Play a pivotal role in staff performance evaluations, reviews, and periodic counseling.
  • Participate in the firm’s business development efforts.

For background check purposes, material job duties of this position include overseeing accurate audits, accessing and understanding clients’ accounting and control systems, analyzing confidential and financial information, and reviewing and directing the work performed by other staff members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 5 years’ prior audit experience in public accounting, including 1 year of supervisory.
  • CPA license.
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to travel to assigned client locations.
  • Ability to be a team leader and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments efficiently, meet deadlines, and multitask.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the United States, United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards.
  • Experience directing, reviewing, and training staff, experienced staff, and seniors.
Salary Range: $124,000 – $136,000*
*The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. We may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future. We will consider job-related factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs when determining pay.

Non-base compensation: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, dependent upon performance.
