Join our growing construction services client as they expand their Construction division and add an Assistant Superintendent. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing onsite/offsite construction processes for multi-family projects. The successful candidate will have an understanding of construction processes, strong organizational skills, and takes a proactive approach to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Superintendent(s) to supervise construction activities, including directing Foremen and tradespersons as necessary.
  • Conducting pre-inspections to ensure compliance with codes and company standards and coordinating formal inspections with the Superintendent and Inspector.
  • Managing documentation of Subcontractor Safety Meetings and maintaining reports for OSHA inspections.
  • Conducting quality and cleanliness checks on units, generating punch lists, and addressing non-compliant items.
  • Ensuring site safety by identifying and rectifying violations promptly and maintaining accurate daily reports.
  • Assisting in developing and managing project schedules, coordinating trades, and attending relevant meetings.
  • Handling submittals, interpreting scopes of work, and enforcing trade contracts on site.
  • Initiating RFIs as needed and updating plans with any changes.
  • Managing accident and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) reports, identifying and correcting violations promptly.
  • Maintaining contact lists, overseeing site facilities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of multi-family construction experience; 4 years of prior experience in construction management may be considered in lieu of multi-family experience
  • OSHA 30 certification 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Type-V construction methods/materials
  • Understanding of various construction codes and regulations (e.g., UBC, NEW, UPC, NFPA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range: $28.85 – $33.65/hr (non-exempt)*
