A prominent general contractor is in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to become a part of their Accounting department. This organization has impressive longevity amongst their staff, prides themselves on being an inclusive work environment and offers a competitive total compensation package. This position is located at the corporate headquarters, based in Orange County, and requires full-time onsite presence Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Verifying invoices 
  • Writing invoices for approval 
  • Check runs 
  • Attending department meetings and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding tasks
  • Fulfilling other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of accounts payable experience within the Commercial Construction Industry 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Timberline/Sage software usage 
  • Experience working for a General Contractor 
  • An understanding of accounting fundamentals and best practices
  • Must be extremely organized, accurate and possess high level of attention to detail 

Salary Range: $50,000 – $80,000*
