Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level with a well-established real estate firm? We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join our client’s growing San Diego office. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly accounting entries for assigned properties, including revenue, expenses, debt, and depreciation.
  • Analyze financial reports for these properties, including reports for lenders and investors.
  • Collaborate with property management on tenant/lease functions and annual CAM reconciliations.
  • Review and approve invoices via our paperless system.
  • Assist property managers with monthly tenant billing.
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during monthly close.
  • Coordinate multiple audits of company financial statements.
  • Assist in creating annual property budgets and analyzing monthly budget variances.
  • Prepare loan draws with precision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years prior full cycle accounting experience, including real estate accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Yardi or related real estate ERP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior public accounting or Big 4 accounting experience 
  • CPA license
  • Extensive working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000*

*The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening.
