Our client has an excellent career opportunity for a detail-oriented Funding Coordinator to join their expanding team. If you have a strong work ethic and want to be part of a dynamic team, this position may be for you. A successful Funding Coordinator will be able to prepare and manage the credit files of commercial lease and loan transactions until funding has been completed. This is a direct hire opportunity that is located in Dallas, TX OR Los Angeles, CA. This is a great opportunity to join a growing employer that promotes from within and offers a generous benefits package. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all necessary documents are present and correctly executed.
  • Ensure all credit requirements are met by matching documents to credit approval.
  • Compile a list of missing or incorrectly completed documents, including improperly formatted invoices and vendor payment information. Collaborate with the credit underwriter to clarify who is responsible for missing information.
  • Track and diligently follow up on requested missing items.
  • Validate the completeness of documentation packages before forwarding them to the underwriting department.
  • Conduct verbal confirmations with customers before funding, including verifying information and confirming equipment inspection.
  • Order GPS devices and/or installations.
  • Confirm wire transfer instructions with brokers/vendors and queue wires for funding.
  • Send funding notification email to brokers upon successful deal funding.
  • Accurately enter data into the Lease Information spreadsheet.
  • Seek guidance from senior funding coordinators and lease coordinators when faced with uncertain situations.
  • Collaborate with senior funding coordinators to gain in-depth knowledge of specific broker relationships.
  • Develop a basic understanding of company’s various contracts, including Lease, EFA, Working Capital, and Lease Buyouts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

For background check purposes, material duties of this position include analyzing account and asset history, managing ongoing collections and setting up payment plans, and maintaining accurate accounting records in Salesforce.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ prior administrative experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience as a Funding Coordinator/Documentation Specialist
  • Prior asset based lending or equipment leasing experience
  • Proficient in Salesforce and DocuSign
  • Strong time management, documentation and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn

Salary Range: $57,000 – $65,000
