Our client is seeking a Senior Investment Director to join their team. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of their real estate credit business and managing the investment portfolio. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in real estate credit, with a strong track record of originating and managing debt investments.
Responsibilities:
Lead the origination and execution of real estate credit investments.
Develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, brokers, and other industry participants.
Conduct detailed market research and financial analysis to support investment decisions.
Oversee the underwriting and due diligence process for potential investments.
Monitor the performance of existing investments and manage portfolio risk.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to structure and close transactions.
Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
Manage and mentor junior team members to enhance their professional growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of experience in real estate credit or investment roles.
Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related; Master’s degree or MBA in Finance, Real Estate, or a related a plus.
CFA designation or progress towards CFA certification.
Established network of industry contacts within real estate credit markets.
Experience managing a team of investment professionals.
Familiarity with various real estate asset classes and capital structures.
Demonstrated experience in originating and managing real estate debt investments.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary Range: $200,000 – $300,000*
