Our Orange County based client is seeking a Real Estate Project/Design Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for space planning, interior design, material specifications, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will enhance company assets through thoughtful design, problem-solving, and creativity. This role demands strong multitasking skills, initiative, reliability, and a professional, supportive demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in design discussions and contribute to project scope development.
- Conduct test-fit and feasibility studies.
- Develop full-scale designs and create detailed AutoCAD drawings.
- Produce Photoshop composites and 3D SketchUp/Revit models for presentations.
- Research and select colors, finishes, materials, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
- Create material/finish presentation boards and stay updated on design trends.
- Understand project scopes, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Prepare RFP packages, obtain bids, and produce cost estimates.
- Review bid proposals and address budget variances with the Sr. Design/Project Manager.
- Manage vendor invoices for payment processing.
- Coordinate and review designs with consultants through all phases until completion.
- Review and redline architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
- Collaborate with teams to value engineer products and materials while maintaining design integrity.
- Attend site meetings, provide notes, and follow up with checklists.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years’ experience in interior design or architecture.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
- Experience in multi-family, hospitality, retail, and office commercial projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, aesthetics, space planning, and furniture layout.
- Familiarity with contract documents, building codes, ADA requirements, occupancy, and life safety requirements.
- Knowledge of materials, furnishings, and finishes.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, with integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000*
